No, Lindholm's cap hit isn't declining. It gets prorated, but that's not the same thing.

When a team has, say, $10 million in cap space at the deadline, it doesn't mean that they can acquire players with a $10 million remaining cap hit. It means they can acquire players whose total cap hit for the season is $10 million. Prorating the number (which you are doing) is just a different way of looking at the same thing – paying the same salary for fewer remaining days in the season. You don't get to do both.
