Yeah to be so close to Stone and Eichel, and lose both to Vegas really stings, these moves really put them over the top for the cup and they were willing to give up what it took to get the team-altering trades done. Full credit to them and it worked.
Who knows what the Flames would have accomplished if Tre was willing to part with the assets needed to get those 2 players but if you don’t pay to play you will never find out what you are capable of.
Hopefully a lesson learned for the new management group here to go for it when the time is right after this next retool
