Yeah, the WJC is not the prospects showcase that it was once touted to be. We have learned that there is virtually no correlation between tournament success and NHL career success.
The WJC is a fun tournament and a nice chance to watch competitive hockey during the Christmas break, to see some high-end prospects, but that's about it. For every Jordan Eberle and MA Fleury, there are plenty of Justin Pogges and Jesse Puljujarvis.
