Kakko if he was traded would have the following 3 previous seasons right now
22 year old year - on pace for 12 points over 82 games based on his first 20 games.
21 year old year - 40 points over 82 games.
20 year old year - on pace for 34 points over 82 games.
Some might look at his 20 game sample size this year as a proof point that he is a total bust but I think most hockey folks would look at it as an aberration from what was previously an upward trajectory in his development path.
Heck, if he comes back from his knee injury and puts up 5 points in 10 games he is back to a 22 point pace and may not be a bust anymore. But totally agree, if Sammy was worth two second round picks being two years older then Kakko is definitely worth that at a minimum.

THIS.
People forget how he was really trending up before this season. A ppg of 0.5 in his 21 year-old year is more than respectable. Not sure what’s going on this season, whether it’s injuries or Laviolette, but there’s a player there.
