So if someone claimed Bondra they'd still get a player with a NTC unless they wanted to pay to get the clause off. Essentially you couldn't waive him and you'd have to give him an extra million to trade him. But I think it's pretty moot as I suspect he'll retire or go back to Europe to play now that he got his 500th goal.

I guess the issue is though that Rob has Bingo Bongo with a NTC and under the old rules you can only have 1 NTC. Now of course those rules are no longer around becuase NTCs have been eliminated except those in place. But still...not sure.
