There are still a lot more misses than hits with the waivers wire: Greer, Reilly, Fagemo, Foudy, Denisenko, Lassi, Prosvetov, Ludvig, and Johnston were claimed off waivers this year. I don't see that much value in the group outside of Greer and Prosvetov.

You just listed like 7 useful players who were all available for free, and did not require wasting draft picks to acquire.
That doesn't include the long list of UFAs also available near the start of the season that can also be acquired for a minimum deal to play bottom line minutes.
