I remember a story last year where Weegar said he almost quit professional hockey when he was in the ECHL and was ready to go home to look for a regular job. Such a thin line between being a millionaire professional athlete and just a regular person in the workforce. It makes you wonder how many people quit just before they would have made it, or on the other hand, how many fledgling players hold on too long and miss out on other career opportunities.
