Mangiapane’s “poor” play this season is entirely attributable to the team’s dog#### PP. His 5v5 metrics are directly in line with career averages. Just an easy 2.1-2.2 points/60 with solid relative fancies. His shooting is down relative to career totals but he is getting more assists to make up for it.

There’s like 3 or 4 players league wide that can produce good results offensively without being on an effective PP. Some of the PP woes are on Mangiapane since he should be a key part of it but given that the entire team can’t score on it I would be hesitant to hold it against him. Mangiapane is still what he’s always been this year, a solid top 6 forward who can score while also being responsible enough defensively to handle any matchup.
