That looks very much like a potential pop player.
At 1.59 he's a 6th forward on the average team.
At 2.23 he's a 3rd forward on the average team.
So if you thought last year's pop was a sign of a future floor that's probably a solid contract for the Flames.
This year he's on pace for his worst offensive season of his career at 1.14.

Didn’t produce off the bat in the top 6 in the first 10 games or so. Demoted to the bottom line where he’s sure not to produce. Hard to dig out of that one.
