Teams with considerable trade bait as you called it aren't even at the bottom of their cycle as they still have the crash and burn cycle yet to come, because the reason they have considerable trade bait is they have considerable UFA's they are trading.
No team including the Ducks wish they had trade bait of the type you were describing. It means they even haven't hit rock bottom yet, that is still to come.
