If Blue Jays offer was 60m/year paid annually, that is a much more valuable contract, as it is effectively worth 13m/year to Ohtani, and costs the Blue Jays 13m/year more than the Dodgers are paying.

It's a 47m/year contract with a goofy payout structure that only makes sense if Ohtani is willing to take a big discount to play for the Dodgers, or it is a tax evading structure.
