It's almost like he is trying to justify taking less to go to the Dodgers by making it sound like he went for more. It's very odd. He also must have a lot of confidence that the MLB and Dodgers will still be solvent in 15-20 years, or risks other geopolitical factors when looking that far out.

I doubt it, but I wonder if there is a way to avoid paying state taxes if he moves out of California at the end.
