The private sector, especially the beauty sector that is flourishing, is simply better and more desirable for younger nurses and amplifying the nurse shortage. Canada has a severe structural problem that merely got magnified with the pandemic where throwing money at it may not resolve without a significant shift.

It’d be interesting to see the actual pay comparison breakdowns.
