The reason for this matinee is that the Devils are playing tomorrow in Edmonton also at 1400h. If today's game was at 2000h, tomorrow's game would have had to be at the same time. Eastern conference teams on weekend road trips in the Pacific and Mountain time zones generally do not have games at 2000h Mountain/2200h Eastern on Sundays. This is better than three weeks ago when the Islanders-Flames was at 1700h for some unknown reason.
