Obviously my personal anecdotes for attendance are just one viewpoint but I'm sure I'm not alone.

I attended 15-20 games a year from 2005 to about 2015, when I finally made the decision to get season tickets and split them with a friend who I attended most games with. This was my little reward to myself for finishing school and getting a real job. Continued to attend 15-30 games a year until Covid. Was supposed to attend that game against the Islanders that was cancelled day-of.

Dropped the season tickets because of the uncertainty of Covid and because my ticket partner was unsure as well and figured we could just get back in later if we wanted to.

Now it's 2023, I'm 37 years old with a pretty demanding job, a 2 year old, an excellent at-home setup with an 85" TV for watching games, and many other entertainment interests and options and priorities. It's expensive and inconvenient to go to the Dome, and it's just not something I have any interest in committing time and money to. I've simply lost interest in attending games live.

I'll throw games on the TV after the toddler's in bed and if the game is close I will keep them on, otherwise I'll find something else to do. The last year and a half, I've been finding lots of other things to do.
