Nylander is also the best playoff performer they have in Toronto. Guy seems to bring it every year in the post-season, I don't think losing him is doing them any favors IMO but then again if he isn't going to re-sign then they'll have to get something for him.
But for the Flames I think there's better value to be had if they do separate deals for each of their UFA's. Say if you flip Hanifin or Tanev first and then hold onto the other D-man up until the deadline you'd have to imagine the packages coming back would be really interesting in a bidding war.
Also we have the top-3 trade targets on the big board heading into the deadline right now, IMO your opportunity cost is high if you package them all in a trade, especially doing it well before the deadline.
I'd love to do a trade with Dallas and try to get one of Mavrik Bourque (C) or Lian Bichsel (D) out of it. Always seems like a pipe dream to trade for highly touted prospects but if you're a team who thinks you can win it all, sometimes those are the types of moves you have to make.
