The thing about Coleman is that he generates his own offense with minimal ice time and often poor linemates. That is such a huge boost. Most NHL quality players can put up 40ish points playing with franchise players on the top line. Not many can do that from the 3rd line. Ideally, if the Flames were competing, Coleman would be part of the depth that pushes them over the edge.

With the cap going up, I'm surprised there isn't more interest in Coleman yet. Although, I guess right now, every competing team is terrified about taking on cap and they are having to deal with re-signing the players they have.
