Always nice when you can get a middle 6 veteran who plays his ass off every night. The last guy I really liked here (aside from his last season when he was very meh) was Frolik. Backlund paired with a veteran winger and a rookie skater (not right now with Huberdeau) for whatever reason has always been a good combination to assemble. And I really like Coleman and Backlund together. You can always rely on them to play a good two-way game.
So far this is Coleman's best season too and arguably the best forward right now with his consistent effort.

Backlund has been noticeably off his game for a little while now (I didn’t get to see last night’s game so maybe he was better). The previous few games he seemed surprisingly like the weak link on that line, because Huberdeau was playing well and Coleman was Coleman. But Backlund always rebounds from poor play.
