That's not a moderate though.

You can be someone who believes bigoted, right-wing crap, like Cheney and Kinzinger do, without believing the insane QAnon stuff, but that doesn't make you a moderate.

If Kinzinger or Cheney were elected president tomorrow, you would still have the exact same issues pertaining to the SC, corporate welfare/anti-trust, gerrymandering, rolling back of rights for women and LGBTQ+, etc.

The idea that Trump represents a huge leap towards authoritarianism for the GOP isn't backed up by historical evidence. They've been trending at least since the W days, but likely as far back as Reagan.
