I won't put people like Cheney and Kinzinger on a pedestal either, especially when you consider some of their policies (Cheney's position on abortion, for example, is pretty extreme IIRC). But I will give them some credit, they at least live in the real world, have basic principles and put country over party. No wonder there's no room for them in today's GOP anymore.
