It’s kind of a unique year as a flames fan. Because the rebuild feels likely with all the UFAs, losses don't feel as bad as most years and wins feel like a bonus. Even making the playoffs would feel like a big bonus for the fans this year. The team is working hard and playing a good system… beating lots of good teams while outplaying them as well. Lots of young guys are contributing and/or are knocking on the door to make the team.

For example… hoping Markstrom is ok but if he is not, it will be exciting for Wolf to get a chance with the big club. The flames could end up with 3 first round picks in this year’s draft and an A-level prospect or two by the TDL depending on what they get for Hanifin, Tanev and Lindholm.

There’s a slight chance Kyllington could return this year which would really help if they lose Hanifin and tanev. Having a core top 3 of Andersson, Weegar and Kyllington could be serviceable for the rest of the season.
