Making Vlad better could include insulation by other players, but could also be getting a buddy of some sort on the team to have him more relaxed. Hernandez and Gurriel leaving left him alone, and it really didn't look like he was having nearly as much fun.
He looked to be having fun at the ASG, and proceeded to blast ball after ball out of the park.
