From what I can remember the last 3 winters have hit pretty late, and lingered long past their welcome. Well into November when it really got cold, and late April for the ice to come off the water at the earliest.
To contrast 4 years ago, I remember having breakfast outside in shorts and t-shirt 3 Saturday mornings in April.
Global warming, the edges of the seasons are going to get a lot longer and more varied before the -30 days completely disappear.
