Really hoped for a 2nd, but a 3rd and a 5th isn't that bad in a nutshell in a deal without salary retention. What irks me is the fact that the 3rd is so far down the road, but I guess they'll have opportunities to add more 2024 and 2025 picks between now and the deadline.

I don’t think it’s just the retention slots.
Added to it is projected 5m in cap space at the deadline.
The two together means the flames have the option to be a 3rd party that scoops a pick in some other teams’ transaction.
