If you don't mind reading, I highly recommend Andy Weir's second book, Project Hail Mary, which I think I liked more than the Martian.

Just coming back to this topic a few pages ago. Based on some recs here and elsewhere, I've watched Arctic 2018 and Trapped 2016, and both are good examples of scavenging survivor movies. Trapped has subtitles and may be a bit harder to find though, but I yelled at my TV a few times on how I'd do a better job Both recommended!
