I agree with the bolded. He might be better than bottom pair. Debatable. Limited cap room around the league was a factor.
But he shouldn't be miscast as a 3rd pairing D but paid that. It's not so much our return on the trade. We shouldn't have had that much tied up in him in the first place.
I've hated how Tre would come into each season sitting tight to the cap.
