Doubt you were getting much more than a 3rd rounder for Big Z. They got a 5th and a 3rd. So probably about right.
If they are signing any of their UFAs they need cap space. That’s really what this trade provided. We didn’t have to take on a salary.
Too bad. I really liked Big Z. But defence seems to be where we had a surplus. If they dump Tanev and Hanifin though that will not be the case. They’ll have to resign one of them or we will be the Oilers very quickly.
