Giving some of these guys a taste when they are performing in the AHL is a great way to motivate them to push harder and gain more experience on what it takes to be a quality NHL player. Rotting in the minors until a spot is open seems archaic when we've seen first hand this year how even unexpected players may be more ready than anyone would think.
