Hump day drinks are mandatory as well to celebrate the fact that you're "almost there".

Thursday nights are good for the reasons you said, as well as Friday being extremely slow at most offices.

Funny thing with Fridays is that most of the time, me and my buddies get too wasted at after-work-drinks to do anything too crazy later on in the night ($2 drinks?! You can't beat that!).

This often happens to me as well...I go Thursday get hammered…come to work on Friday sit in front of my computer and do nothing…than go out Friday after noon for drinks than go home and do nothing
