The prequels were pretty good movies if you only consider the plot, the cinematography and the special fx.
But as soon as you hear the dialogue, witness the acting (which if funny given the quality you get out of most of those actors in other media), or consider the lore that was being updated the whole house of cards tumbles. For a long time it was almost unimaginable that someone could take a good product like Star Wars and make something worse. But The Rise of Skywalker proved there is always a bigger turd.
