Unlikely.
I doubt, very much, Lindholm changes his mind because the Flames are on a recent uptick. This is a decision he’s making for the next 7-8 years of his career. If he didn’t have doubts about the Flames, I strongly suspect he would have resigned by now. He’s been at arms length distance since the end of last season and probably more. The only indication there has been that he would extend is if the Flames met his contract demands, which has been speculated to be +$9M per year. Which the Flames are smart not to have relented on.
Zadorov is all but certainly gone. We’ve heard Tanev and the Flames are far apart on an extension, and Hanifin walked away from $60M guaranteed. I think both sides on all fronts think it best to move on.
Great that the team hasn’t imploded but the writing is on the wall. The players want to move on and I suspect so does the organization.
