I'd take Bouchard in a heartbeat TBH.
He fills a huge hole on the PP, is a strong offensive puck mover, and honestly think a lot of his defensive issues could be ironed out in the right environment.
He's also being asked to play a bigger role in Edmonton than he should have as a top 2 dman. If you could shelter him a bit more on a second/third pairing he would be better too.
His underlying xGF stats are strong too, so he does move the puck in the right direction, just need to work out those big gaffes.

Does retaining $3M on his deal with the Kings get us something like Turcotte + Copley + depth pick?
Kings with Markstrom in place adds another layer of defence for the next few years to help prevent the Oilers from finding any real success.
With Byfield finding his groove, Turcotte could be a pretty good trade chip for the Kings and fits what looks to be the goal of Conroy's youth push.
Flames can rock Copley and Vladar this season at the NHL, send Turcotte to the AHL.
Wolf + Coronato + Turcotte + everyone else down there...do the Wranglers get to push for a Calder Cup? Could Zary and Pelts find their way back there for that playoff rush? That'd be fun.

If you're retaining $3M i'd want a lot more than Turcotte.
Turcotte is 4 years removed from the draft and never really lived up to his draft position.
His first NCAA season was pretty unremarkable. His AHL career numbers are pretty "meh" at 0.67 PPG. And hes one of only 3 players from the 2019 NHL Draft 1st round without a point in the NHL.
If he wasn't the 5th overall pick nobody would be pining to trade for him.
