I feel we are comparing apples and oranges here (program spending to gdp % and debt to gpt%), but yes I dont view Harper as in the same vein as Chretien / Martin, which I held in high regard in terms of servicing debt and did a great job on it.

I'm not arguing this from a partisan level. So I guess we will agree to agree on the same thing when talking of debt to gdp.
