None of the UFAs value will ever be higher than it is this year and they are not going to be worth any length of contract given to them by a desperate team like the Flames.
Sell every single one of them for the highest value you can get and move on.
Regardless of the last week, the franchise has been treading water for a decade. Time to move forward on a new path, but with players who have room to grow and have potential.
Lindholm, Hanafin, Zadorov and Tanev are what they are and will get their peak career contracts next year and they will not be able to produce to to make it worth it for the life of the contracts.
Asset management means learning when an asset is not worth it to keep.
