I don’t think you are factoring in the cap implications of those deals.
Lindholm is clearly the better player of Jeannot, but in your scenario likely needs a 8 year contract at $9MM +, so that likely means he won’t bring 4 draft picks. Unless the flames take on a clear cap dump for multiple years.
