Union targets walkout June 1 as workers reject city's 'last offer'

Mike Mahar, president of Amalgamated Transit Union Local 583, said while nothing's finalized, the union is looking at launching a 24-hour walkout, likely on June 1.
That falls on the first day the city will host the Federation of Canadian Municipalities conference, set to draw municipal and federal leaders from across the country.
