We'll see. I think that is the actually the hardest approach and it will fail either way and just have them entering the rebuild in a worse spot. Teams won't trade players that are are actually performing on their contracts and helping them win. Rentals return futures because GMs are adding to their teams. If the Flames go after players they will get cap dumps or under performing guys like Sharangovich. If they add 4 players like Sharangovich they will be worse.
