Just seems like odd decision making to go through the effort of masking at certain times instead of just wearing it the entire trip. The filtration system might not do much if a passenger behind you, beside you or walking by is sick, symptomatic or not, and happens to sneeze or cough potentially multiple times. If I was worried enough about the situation to have a mask with me I would wear it the entire trip.
