I have never seen any city try to force an identity as hard as Calgary larps as a dude ranch. It really is something else.

This could be one of those games where the Flames have the upper hand..especially after the Canucks had the roller coaster game last night...Flames are 3-1-1 in their last five, and have been playing well, despite all the off ice drama.

Markstrom, who was outstanding in the 2-1 win against Montreal , will be in net.

So I'm predicting a Flames win, but hoping that we smash em.

I honestly would love to have Tanev back with the Canucks. He should of been a Canuck his entire career, but how much does he have left in the tank? Honestly think Zads would be the better mold for our team right now, and fit into our age group.

What a ####ing waste of years Benning was. Seriously I’m not sure there is a worse GM in Canuck’s history.
E: on second thought, he did draft decently, but I don’t even believe that was really him.

He also created a generation of people in their 20s who defend him because they haven’t yet witnessed a competent GM. If your claim to fame after 8 years as GM is two of five top 10 picks, one trade and absolutely nothing else — you suck and were a failure.

To be fair to Benning, it's really hard to multi-task when he and Weisbrod share a single half-braincell between them.

Benning didn’t forget to call our FAs, he was just sitting perfectly still to intercept the braincell.

Not signing him is one thing but treating him like he was nothing by not even giving him a call is just plain horrible. It’s not like he didn’t overlap with benning’s time either, they spent 6 years together in the organization.

I will go as far as to say he ruined an entire generation of Canucks fans. Especially those born in BC after 2012. Case and point, when I go for walks in the neighborhood, malls and grocery store, I occasionally see kids wear hockey jerseys and t-shirts. Back in the days, most of them would be Canucks gear, now I see a lot more Oilers, Leafs and on the rare occasion, Vegas gear among kids in BC. There are still those who wear Canucks but it is a lot less than it was 10 years ago. I don’t blame these kids because, they have never witnessed or have memories of a decent Canucks team. All thanks to Jim Benning the incompetent moron.
