So it makes sense that all variants in the TVA are humans from earth from the last half of the 20th century.

But yeah, no reason for Sylvie to end up in a MacDonalds in the midwest.
Oh come on now...

We've all ended up at a McDonald's in the mid-west at some point in our lives or another.
