I don't think we should be booing Horvat. He was captain during what can be considered the darkest time during the Canucks history. He didn't want to leave during that. He didn't ask for a move. He toughed it out, and when there was light at the end of the tunnel he was someone everyone expected to be leading the charge out of that darkness.
Theeeeen the Canucks picked JT Miller. A decision I hated at the time after realizing it was one or the other. Hindsight is 20/20 though. Both contracts are going to reach the finish line feeling like paper weights, but right now looking at what both players are doing vs what they're getting paid and you can see why the decision was made. It wasn't the right choice emotionally, but business and hockey wise it's hard to argue.
And then Horvat said something stupid and now he's probably going to get booed. We're a fickle group us Canucks fans.
