The kind of mushrooms that you can easily grow at home from a kit are cheaper to buy at the store than to grow your own. Maybe there are some easier ones that aren’t your typical boring button mushrooms, but if you’re thinking of some exotic varieties like morels or chanterelles, those are difficult, if not impossible to produce, otherwise you’d see them as cheap and plentiful as #####akes and cremini mushrooms.
That said, if you enjoy growing things, do it. Your homegrown strawberry will taste more amazing than anything you find at the grocery store.
