Spoiler!

When the Habs won’t even take him!
Quote:
Acquiring Huberdeau, even for all of our worst cap dump would kill our rebuild.
His contract run till one year after Suzuki ones end.
He would handicap our cap for ~15% and he is a declining assets. He is not going back to 118 points. He is trending downhill.

Quote:
Matthew Tkachuk wanting out of Calgary really screwed the Flames.
|
Quote:
It's actually kind of sad how terrible that trade looks for Calgary now
|
Quote:
The Flames in town also means that their circus implicating Jonathan Huberdeau will be front and center as a low hanging fruit imbroglio to be gobbled up by local media.
|
Quote:
As a rush-based player I could actually see a fit with huberdeau but that contract is never going to be a fit even with retention
|
Quote:
They got Huberdeau a guy that had 110 points 2 seasons ago, they play a completely different style of hockey, maybe if they tried plays from when he played in Florida they might be doing better. I hope they #### the bed even worse next year
|
Quote:
At least there's just 8 years to go on his contract
|
Quote:
Dube is way better than Huberdeau lol
|
Low Hanging Fruit
Quote:
Losing to Calgary this year is like losing to San Jose. Vancouver been much better
|
Quote:
Remember in the Canuck gdt someone said the nucks were weak and overachievers, we would walk over them? Get ready for another pounding tonight (that’s what she said )
|
Quote:
Can the habs beat someone in regulation for once?
|
Quote:
If we lose, what does that make us?
|
“Yer a Winger Matty”
Quote:
MM does the dumbest #### I have ever seen a defenseman do and then 5 minutes later he walks around 5 players and looks like McDavid.
|
Quote:
Matheson... theres no reasons for this lmao.
|
Quote:
It's getting ridiculous that every Matheson shift is an adventure
|
Quote:
You must not be on the dating app scene. Bitches fkn love adventures.
|
Quote:
That was dumb trying to finesse it behind the net.
|
Quote:
matheson just can't think as fast as he moves. It's gotta be frustrating for him, too.

Quote:
What the f*** is wrong with Cole?

Quote:
Looks like it's a case of Andersonitis.
|
Quote:
Anderson has chemistry with nobody. It's amazing.
|
Quote:
Connor McAnderson showing his super puck handling skillz
|
Quote:
He literally shot it right into Markstroms glove. Markstrom did the theatrical windmill making it look like some kind of robbery lol
|
Quote:
Anderson has probably run out of superstitions to rid him of the curse so might I suggest something like a complete blood transfusion or something. Y'know just flush out the bad vibes
|
Quote:
Anderson missing the net again lmao It's laughable at this point. I don't even feel bad anymore this dude gets paid 5.75 mill a year and he can't even hit the net
|
Quote:
Anderson missing on another high scoring chance
|
Quote:
Anderson hit the f***ing net dude. Shoot lower!
|
Quote:
Imagine being a guy like Ylonen and having to watch players like Anderson, who get favourable linemates and deployment, continuing to get those opportunities, while producing nothing at all.
Must be frustrating.
|
Quote:
Andy will never score again
|
Quote:
Useless Anderson watches Flame go in on breakaway.
|
Quote:
Anderson why stop skating wtf
|
Quote:
LMAO Anderson you can't even make this #### up. HE MISSES AGAIN!? LIKE WTF LOL
|
Quote:
There's bad luck and then there's Anderson's luck
|
Quote:
Oh my god this guy is so unlucky
|
Quote:
Suzuki would have 10 more assists this season if any f***ing right wings could score a goal
|
Quote:
Andy can’t hit the net. Terrible
|
Quote:
Poor Josh, seriously it's now just becoming sad. He's been playing well too.
|
Quote:
Anderson couldnt hit the net with a beach ball at this point.
|
Quote:
Poor Anderson... he's like a tangled garden-hose that's about to explode.
|
Quote:
I'm sorry, but Mr. ZeroGoals shouldn't have been on the ice for the empty net
|
Quote:
He wants to, but he wouldn't be able to get himself in the door.
|
No Name Zary’s Game Winner
Quote:
He was a 1st round pick in 2020
|
Quote:
Zary's parents should've called him Harry.. Harry Zary.
|
Quote:
At least one Andersson scored tonight.
Edit: Zary scored. Andersson with the assist. I thought Zary passed it to Andersson
|
Quote:
We aree always playing catch-up hockey. Even in most of our wins.
It must be mentally exhausting for the players.
|
Quote:
Lol Cole took one peak at the iPad and was like f*** that, don't wanna see it again lol
|
Quote:
Out of CGY top 10scorers, only 3 didn't play significant time in the AHL.
But yeah, not a development league lmao.
|
Quote:
Calgary are so bad wht are we losing this ####
|
Quote:
It feel like both teams are trying to lose for the #1 draft race
|
Quote:
WE WON AGAINST THE BRUINS AND LOST AGAINST THE FLAMES??????
|
Quote:
Can we just ask Marty to jump on the ice and tie the game?
He needs to show them how it's done.

New Coach Smell
Quote:
Flames commentators are such bag lickers.
|
Quote:
If the flames had Oilers goaltending they would be behind San Jose
|
Quote:
Yeah he made some big saves. Dungary up 2-1
|
Quote:
Everytime I see husks behind cgy bench, I think it's Pierre Maguire
|
Quote:
Its a tough climb back after such a rough start. If the Flames win, the Oilers can't climb into 31st lol
|
Quote:
Monday will mark the 5th coach to lead McDrai in 9 seasons.
|
Quote:
I mean, these guys have been treated as royalty since mcdavid joined the team. It wouldn’t surprise me if Katz offered to hire someone to wipe their asses if they wanted.
So while I don’t really think they’re purposely trying to remove coaches, it seems like any struggle that the team faces that can’t be pushed off and dealt with later, or handled via a trade (because we’re seemingly always in a position of weakness) is handled by firing the coach. Some deserved it, others likely didn’t, but this teams been conditioned over the last decade to fire a coach when the team begins to struggle, because we haven’t had a GM capable of putting together a good group of D, or bring in a single NHL level starter.
Imo, Woody was a victim of not being in either of the “clubs” involved in running this organization. The Mcdavid connections, and the OBC. I mean, wasn’t Paul Coffey on the Oilers payroll and simply never came to Edmonton because he wanted to coach his sons team in Toronto? Somehow a guy who’s already failed out of a “special advisor” role, was kept around and has now become an assistant coach.
So are they coach killers? In a way, yes. But I don’t think it’s their fault. I think this organization is just continuing its trend of being so poorly run that we as fans keep trying to convince ourselves that it’s the fault of certain players and not the group running the show into the ground from the top.
