While I do not think "missing" Phillips is the right look at it as the team plays very well together anyway and 1 guy won't make the difference, however I would love to see what he would be doing this season if he was with the Wranglers. While the team is still pretty dominant, if they had all of the key players they would be a real force in the league. As for Mitch Love, I do think he is a great coach but also when you have a young team, full of guys that want to learn and succeed I think keeping the same coach for a long time is a detriment, let them learn from multiple coaches, multiple mentors and in multiple situations if you want to build a proper player for the NHL.
From last season to this season, they seem to have picked up where they had left off quick with both the new members and the call ups, the last few games I have been at their positioning was really good (this was a huge issue last year) so someone seems to always be there to keep the puck in the zone, or break up offensive plays.
Looking forward to the new jersey, and hopefully they come back with a hat of the horse head logo, mine from last year is getting tired.
