A complete ghost for the majority of the games. We are lucky he didn't accept our 8.5 million offer because that is looking like an overpay right now.

I know Huberdeau is your boy and you need to protect him but Lindholm has not been nearly as bad. In fact, Gary Galley went out of his way to praise how great a game Lindholm had against the Leafs, and he was right. Lindholm had a great game against the Leafs, he didn’t have much points to show for it, but he was engaged and making things happen.
Lindholm’s game isn’t about flash and standing out. Patrice Bergeron never stood out. Lindholm brings so much more to the team than a scoring winger does. He’s out their on key face offs, he’s killing penalties, he’s on the main power play unit.
Lindholm is not a $9 million dollar guy, but he’s still worth more than what he makes right now. He’s really not the problem at all. He’s carrying an anchor on his LW right now and you expect him to look good offensively? He’s doing everything defensively for that line and he also has to carry the offence for the $10 million dollar guy? Lindholm isn’t the one being benched. Lindholm is the one leading the forward in ice time. That tells you all you need to know about what the coaches think of his game.
Again, Lindholm is not worth $9 (he’s worth $8 million easy), but still I’d rather trade him cause he’s going to get a big return and this team needs to retool. Bruins and Avs really need him and every other contender could use him as a RW too. He will be the most coveted deadline piece if the Flames are smart enough to put him out there.
All I want from Lindholm is to stay healthy so he can be traded at the deadline.
