If they delay it they will just create a generation of indifferent fans. If they try to remain competitive they will basically be the young guns again except older, fans will know they don’t have a chance at the playoffs right from the start. At least with a rebuild you can explain to the fans what you are doing. I personally doubt that Calgary hockey fans are so obtuse as to not understand something that is actually communicated to them. Nobody likes buying bull#### in my opinion.
