That is why I am doubtful when we hear it won’t be scorched earth. I dont trust the owners or management to be willing to accept the pain needed to properly rebuild.

I don't see how this team isn't at scorched earth even if they don't want too. They won't have a d core, a #1 centre, and have a forward core that struggles to score. The only thing that will keep this team from cratering is if a goalie goes God mode and drags the team to the playoffs. They also did it after Iggy.
