Well, that reasoning is a little flawed - Dallas protected Heiskanen, Lindell, and Klingberg ahead of him. At the time, Klingberg was coming off 36 points in 53 games, and Oleksiak was a pending free agent to boot. A lot of teams lost players they would rather not have. His -1 is not bad for a team that is 5-6-3 and been outscored by 11.
