But you're right, having Conroy slam the brakes on a Hanifin extension, then having that leak to the media is a work of genius. Now we have Hanifin, Lindholm, Tanev, Zadorov, etc. most of which are at o near lows in terms of trade value heading to UFA. I'm sure Conroy will get a real haul of assets for them.

So, you think that other GMs won't be able to put two and two together when the Flames are sitting at the bottom of the standings? If they were off to a great start than I could kind of buy what you are selling.
You do know agents exist right and that their job is to maximize the contract value of their clients. Is Conroy supposed to muzzle the agents as well?
It is what it is, the Flames suck and have a lot of UFAs. The smart thing was trading some of them last deadline but that didn't happen and so here we are.
