If Sutter wasn't so stubborn he would still be coach here, and they probably make the playoffs last year. Huberdeau and Kadri have proven Sutter right, but call ups like Duehr, Pelletier, Zary, Pospisil, etc have shown that the youth on one of the best teams in the AHL should have been counted on more last year.

And if Sutter wasn't so damn stubborn then I think this team would have made the playoffs if they just infused that youth into the solid structure he had set up with the veterans.

So that's another reason he's probably no longer here. Sutter did a lot of good, and his on ice system was boring but very effective, the problem he had was player relationship and management and that's why he's no longer here.
I've said it before. Darryl Sutter with his system but better roster management (I.e. younger players/ice time management) would be THE best coach in NHL history. Unfortunately he was stubborn.

I'm letting off steam from this season's start with posts that are still factual, but also 100% fair drive-by shots at Huberdeau and Kadri lol if some posters wanna label me a troll after years of some of the most statistically-backed posts on this site (there's certainly some better number-diving members on this site), that's okay with me haha but for the time being I shall enjoy this time of Sutter being proven right about Huberdeau + Kadri while the Flames suffer on the ice.

Definitely makes for some entertaining reading of posts attacking me when I get under people's skin (put me in the sin box for instigating)
